AI medical scribe for GPs in Norway

Journalhjelp is a Norwegian AI medical scribe for GPs (fastleger). It writes a draft journal note from the consultation, searches the patient's journal and drafts NAV forms, in one service. From 399 NOK per month, with no binding period.

What Journalhjelp does

  • AI scribe: records the consultation or your dictation and writes a structured draft journal note in Norwegian, following your own note templates. Transcription (Norwegian)
  • Journalchat: upload journal PDFs and ask questions or get a summary of the patient's history, with references to the source. Journalchat (Norwegian)
  • Form drafts: editable drafts of sick leave certificates, NAV 08-07.08, SPK and KLP disability forms and insurance statements, based on the documented journal. Supported forms (Norwegian)
  • Works with your journal system: runs in the browser next to any system, with a Chrome extension for Pridok.

The doctor reviews every draft before it goes into the journal. New clinical assessments always come from the doctor.

Data protection

Journalhjelp processes patient data on behalf of the clinic under a published data processing agreement. Patient content is processed in the EEA, stored in Norway and deleted automatically within 24 hours of upload. Patient content is not used to train AI models.

Can GPs in Norway use an AI scribe?

Yes. The Norwegian Directorate of Health's guidance on speech-to-draft documentation (Normen, May 2026) says AI can support journal documentation when the use is responsible, the tool is suitable and the clinician controls what goes into the journal. Patient consent is not required, but patients should be told that the conversation is recorded and that AI is used. General tools such as ChatGPT are advised against for patient data.

Other AI scribes in Norway

Noteless, Medbric, Tandem Health, Journalia and Stenoly also offer speech-to-note for Norwegian clinicians. See our comparison of AI tools for GPs (Norwegian) for prices, integrations and sources.
